Solihull Sixth Form College hosts open evening for prospective learners

Solihull Sixth Form College is opening its doors to the public with an opening evening to help prospective learners and their families look around the campus.

The open evening follows a hugely successful open day back in October, which saw the highest open day attendance since 2018.

The open evening will take place on Wednesday 25 November from 5pm till 8pm with last entry at 7pm and will welcome young people looking for post-16 education places for September 2027.

Teachers and current learners will be available in all curriculum areas to talk about our wide range of A level, BTEC, T level and V level courses and showcase our latest successes.

The recently published exam results included 1,386 A*/A and Distinction*/Distinction grades at A level and BTEC. Success at A level saw 74% A* - C grades and 45% at A* - B. At BTEC high grades were at 85% and at T level there were 100% high grades.

Martin Sullivan, principal of Solihull Sixth Form College said: “Huge numbers of Year 11 learners and parents visited us at our October open day, demonstrating what a popular destination Solihull Sixth Form College is.

“We expect to be just as busy at this open evening and we are eager to tell more young people about the post-16 courses and services we offer.

“We rightly have a reputation for high academic standards and superb progression onto higher education, higher apprenticeships and employment and I look forward to sharing that with visitors.”
