Speaker announced for upcoming QBR event
An expert in software development has been confirmed as the first speaker at the Chamber’s Quarterly Business Report launch event, happening on 9 July.
Tom Haworth (pictured), founder of B13.ai will be speaking at the event which focuses on unlocking opportunities with new technologies.
It is held at and sponsored by Birmingham City University.
Tom founded B13.ai to change how software gets built.
His team works with non-technical founders, scaleups and public sector leaders to de-risk digital delivery, bringing clarity to complex ideas and turning them into market-ready products.
A former architect and technical lead in both government and industry, Tom now focuses on making software development more predictable through a structured, AI-enhanced process that reduces risk and improves results.
As the GBCC flagship economic publication, the Quarterly Business Report is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.
Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.
The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University.
Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by keynote presentations on unlocking opportunities with new technologies from Tom and Phil Bindley, Field Chief Information Security Officer at Intercity.
