Barclays, a major global financial services provider operating in retail banking, credit card, corporate and investment banking has been announced the headline sponsor of the Diwali festival celebrations, organised by the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce.

The event will take place at Birmingham City Football Club on 12 November from 6 pm to 8.30 pm.

Diwali – the festival of light - celebrates the victory of good over evil and light over darkness and is a time of year when families, friends and communities come together in a spirit of celebration and joy. It is an important celebration among Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.

Paul Faulkner, vice-chairman of Barclays Midlands, said: “Barclays are delighted to be sponsoring the Chamber’s Diwali business networking event this year as part of our wider commitment to the region and our local business communities.”

Bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, community leaders and professionals, this event will explore how the timeless principles of Diwali can inspire modern leadership, organisational growth and positive change.

The event is aimed at business owners, leaders and managers navigating change or uncertainty, as well as professionals seeking inspiration, resilience and renewed focus.

It will also appeal to organisations interested in values-led leadership and growth, alongside individuals keen to learn more about Diwali and its wider cultural significance.

A panel discussion will also be held on the topic ‘overcoming challenges and turning adversity into opportunity’. Panellists will be announced soon.

This event is free for all ABCC members, with two delegates allowed per company. Additional tickets can be purchased at £30 plus VAT.

Tickets are priced at £30 plus VAT for Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members and £15 plus VAT for Future Faces members. Non-member tickets are priced at £40 plus VAT.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the event. Visit the webpage for more information or email events@birmingham-chamber.com
