Sport 4 Life UK, a charity dedicated to helping young people overcome unemployment through skills and opportunities, is recruiting for three new Board of Trustees roles.

The charity is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join their Board of Trustees. Trustees play a crucial role in shaping the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and helping to safeguard the financial health of the organisation.

Successful applicants will join a team dedicated to changing lives and making a real impact on young people across the West Midlands.

Applicants don’t need prior trustee experience—just a passion for making a difference and a commitment to the charity’s mission. They are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in:

  • Legal and governance
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • HR and people development

The application deadline is midnight, 18 May 2025, with interviews taking place between 26th May and 13th June.

Tom Clarke-Forrest, founder and CEO at Sport 4 Life UK, said: "At Sport 4 Life UK, young people are at the heart of everything we do.

"We want them to feel confident and supported in applying for Trustee roles, because we know the value their insight, experience and perspective could bring to our board. We’re really excited to welcome applications from young people."

Gabriel Imevbore, member of the Future Faces committee and sales director at Z Digital UK, is the youngest ever board member for YMCA Heart of England.

He said: “It’s amazing to see organisations like Sport 4 Life UK embrace the idea of giving Future Faces members the opportunity to become trustees.

"This is something I’m personally passionate about, having benefited from that opportunity myself. Equally, it is something Future Faces is passionate about.

"Trustee experience is invaluable to career growth, and it would be great to see other organisations in the region adopt the same approach Sport 4 Life UK is taking."
