Charity earns silver Investors in People accreditation
Birmingham-based charity Sports 4 Life has been given a silver rating for empowering colleagues to change the lives of those in need by Investors in People, the top international body that celebrates good employers.
Assessors said the employers are passionate about what they do and are proud of the difference made to young people's lives.
The report also mentioned that the charity was creating a culture of appreciation, where everyone feels truly valued for their energies, efforts and results.
The accreditation follows a staff survey where 100 per cent of Sport 4 Life staff said it was a great place to work and 95 percent were positive about the future.
Rob Wells, Sport 4 Life’s director of people said: “The silver accreditation from Investors in People is a big win for us. But it doesn’t stop here. We’re ambitious to grow as a team and as individuals. One way we’re doing this is by getting colleagues involved in driving change.
“At the same time, we’re continuing to invest in staff wellbeing, which is essential to the success of our mission. We want to become one of the best employers in the West Midlands.”
Sport 4 Life, based in Digbeth, works with people aged 11 to 29 across the West Midlands. Tapping into the power of sport, it helps to improve the life chances of more than 2,000 under-resourced youngsters each year.
The organisation is also venturing out beyond the region with exciting new partnerships with sports organisations across the country.
