Sports economy opportunities in focus
With the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games officially underway, the sports economy will be in focus during an event at the University of Birmingham next week.
Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce is teaming up with the Department for International Trade (DIT) Sports Economy team and the West Midlands Growth Company to deliver an event providing information for companies with an interest in this sector.
The event on Wednesday 3 August - which forms part of the Birmingham 2022 Business and Tourism Programme - will provide an opportunity for UK companies to engage with visiting delegations from future sports events and wider destinations, as well as building relationships with these delegates.
There will also be case studies from firms operating in the sports economy.
The event will conclude with an informal drinks reception.
