Spread some magic at Birmingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity is calling on the local business community to help make moments of magic for sick kids across its hospital this Christmas by becoming one of its ‘Magic Makers’.

By sponsoring one or more of the wards at the Children’s Hospital, you will be helping the charity turn it into a winter wonderland, helping keep patients entertained with fun activities, and staff supported as they continue to deliver their magic.

In return, Magic Makers will be kept up to date with the impact of their sponsorship, and there’s also a fun opportunity for up to five colleagues to become Santa’s elves and hand out gifts to patients in the hospital’s grotto.

There are other ways businesses can support the hospital this Christmas. The charity’s Celebration Toy Fund has been created specifically to purchase toys and games, so children staying in hospital during the festive season, and during other celebrations throughout the year, will receive a present. It wants to ensure a patient’s stay at Christmastime is as exciting, fun and sparkly as it would be if they were at home.

Helen Miles, head of corporate partnerships at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re always blown away by the support we receive from business and organisations at Christmastime - and throughout the year. It really helps us to go the extra mile and ensure kids spending time in hospital don’t miss out on the fun and excitement the festive season brings.

“Businesses have a chance to put a smile on a child’s face, at what can be one of the most difficult times in their young life, so please support our charity this Christmas.”
