Springsteen tribute to rock Lichfield venue
Lichfield venue The Hub at St Mary's is preparing to welcome a tribute to legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen.
The NE Street Band plays the songs of the legendary Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band.
The show on Friday 15 September (8pm) will be a deep dive into The Boss' back catalogue, from The Seeger Sessions to Born to Run.
It has been described as an energetic show of all things Springsteen, including songs from the New Jersey legend's solo albums and collaborations.
The Hub creative director, Anthony Evans said: “The NE Street Band are top-class musicians - no-one else has Springsteen covered quite like them! With all of your favourite hits, this gig is an absolute must for Springsteen fans.”
Meanwhile, the venue's Sunday Jazz session returns on 10 September (6pm).
Join local jazz trumpeter and guitarist Nick Dewhurst and his trio as they present an evening of Swingin' Standards, with classic jazz and swing tunes from the roaring 20s and 30s.age of jazz!
Nick Dewhurst said: “I'm really looking forward to an evening of great swingin' tunes by the likes of Duke Ellington and much more!
“You can expect some classic tunes such as 'Take the A Train' and 'Satin Doll' alongside other really well-known classic jazz standards! I'm delighted to say I'll be joined by Jim Wynn on Piano, and Tom Moore on Double Bass.”
