Through various fundraising initiatives including a percentage of direct bookings going to the homelessness charity, the Campanile Hotel are hoping to raise over £4,000 for St Basils. They have also generously offered several auction and raffle prizes to help with the charities fundraising efforts in these very difficult times.

The contemporary canal side hotel holds great memories for St Basils chief executive Jean Templeton.

She said: “When I joined St Basils twenty-two years ago, we held our first whole organisation conference at the Campanile. I still remember it well as it was the start of a collaborative approach to our work and an introduction for me to all our amazing colleagues and their passion for what we do.

“The Campanile therefore has a special place in my memory and to be working with them again, feels like Karma in this our fiftieth year ”

Hotel deputy manager Juliana Resurexi said: “Most of us are lucky enough to have enjoyed growing up with a caring, loving family and having positive experiences to look back on, but we know not everyone is so fortunate.

“Vulnerable young people who face challenges, including homelessness, need support, so it 's fantastic that St Basils is there to make a real difference for them when they need it the most. Campanile has always been a committed brand, and having got to know the charity, we were impressed with how tirelessly it works day and night to make the lives of young people better.

“Choosing St Basils as our local charity means we can focus our efforts on raising funds and awareness about its important work. ”

St Basils works with over four thousand young vulnerable people in the Midlands every year, who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Through safe, secure housing, support, and life skills training, the charity helps young people experiencing difficulties return to a stable place and offers educational and employment opportunities, so more young people can go on to lead independent lives.
