Staffordshire businesses invited to new year ambassador event

We Are Staffordshire are hosting a January ambassador event to kick off the new year with a bold vision for a prosperous and thriving Staffordshire where people choose to live, work, visit and study.

The Ambassador Network brings together businesses, education, the public sector, the third sector, indeed all organisations to really put Staffordshire on the map.

For the first time, the Staffordshire Ambassador Network is joining forces with Make It Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire for the event, where attendees will hear from businesses and leaders who are evolving the region to meet the needs of communities and deliver places that are fit for societies of tomorrow. Staffordshire 's January Ambassador Event will discuss:

• What a County Deal is, and what it could mean for the county
• How We Are Staffordshire are positioning Staffordshire as the place to start-up and grow businesses, with dedicated support through their Enterprise Centres
• The vision for Stafford town centre as the 'heart ' of Staffordshire, through key regeneration sites including Eastgate
• How connectivity and transport infrastructure offers Staffordshire a golden opportunity, through the HS2 interchange station and beyond

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with all of the speakers - chaired by Alun Rogers, managing director, risual and chair at Stoke and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership - and informal walking tours of the key Stafford regeneration sites.
