The National Forest Adventure Farm is launching a seven-week festival of family fun this summer called Farmarama.

The event brings a vibrant festival feel to the farm which will run alongside the attraction 's activities including the return of its traditional maize maze and a brand-new Secret Garden themed adventure golf course.

Farmarama will offer a festival feel each day at the Burton-upon-Trent family farm, festooned in flags and bunting, including princess singalongs shows, an interactive pirate show, teacup rides, a craft marque, mascot meet and greets, and glitter face painting.

At 4pm each day children will also be able to enjoy a foam party and music in front of the Farmarama stage.

The Secret Garden Adventure Golf is a nine-hole course complete with wooden pagodas, water features and a running stream.

Tom Robinson, who runs the farm attraction with his brother Ivor, said: “We 're excited about putting on our new Farmarama event which brings a host of new activities to the farm for seven weeks, for some much-needed affordable family-fun time.

“With family festivals becoming so popular we thought we 'd introduce our piece of festival magic to the farm with lots of activities designed especially for families and younger children.

“Value for money is becoming increasingly important to people so we 've ensured that all our farm and summer activities are included in the price of the ticket price. We can 't wait for people to join us for what will be an action-packed day out in the countryside."

This year 's festival will be the 19th running since first starting the maize maze in 2004.

The annual maze is planted each year in May and, in recent years, the design has been planted directly into the ground though a high-tech satellite drilling technique.

By the middle of August of the summer the maize towers up to 2.4m/8ft tall.

Entrance to Farmarama also includes the recently renovated Animal Barn, indoor soft play and outdoor adventure areas with pedal Go-Karts, Jurassic Canyon sand fossil dig, tractor rides, giant jumping pillows and JCB Big Dig Zone.

Farmarama is being held every day from Saturday 16 July to Monday 5 September.

Tickets are £15.99 each for children and adults.
