Staffordshire LEP welcomes new chief
Ann Boyd has been appointed as the new chief executive has been appointed at the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
Ann (pictured) will bring with her a wealth of local, regional and national experience, with over 25 years experience in both the private and public sectors.
This includes her role as president of the British Red Cross and former position on the Cheshire and Warrington LEP Business Growth Committee.
She is passionate about the potential of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire as a place to do business and intends to bring major investment into the area and help transform it to a leading light of net-zero business.
Anne said: “I 've only been imposed for a few weeks now but I already know that I made the right decision in joining what is the most connected county in the country.
“I started my career in the private sector in the chemical industry and then moved into logistics and then into public service. For the last 20 something years I 've worked locally and regionally in attracting investors into the local economy.
“I have experience working in skills, housing and regeneration and have held several leadership roles at a national local level. I know how these things come together in framing a place and I intend to make sure that Staffordshire gets its fair share of investment in those things going forward. ”
Alun Rogers, chair of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP, said: "We 're really pleased to welcome Anne to the LEP, who brings with her a wealth of knowledge in several areas which tie into our key objectives and priorities for the coming months and years."
“The LEP has a lot to think about and we have a lot of work to do in supporting businesses to not just survive but thrive and come out of this time stronger and better. Working with Anne, we 've found someone who can really help us work across the whole partnership and with government stake holders to put the right support in place. ”
