Stockport midfielder signed by Moors on loan
Solihull Moors have signed Lois Maynard on a season-long loan from Stockport County.
The midfielder, who has 12 international caps for St Kitts and Nevis, was part of the Hatters squad who reached the play-offs last season.
He made a total of 30 appearances, scoring once in a 5-2 win at Wealdstone.
Mr Maynard (pictured), aged 32, was a National League play-off winner with Salford City in 2018/19, making it back-to-back promotions with the Ammies in his two-and-a-half-year stint at Moor Lane.
Born in Cheetham Hill, he started his career in non-league with Daisy Hill, Chadderton, Flixton and Winsford United, where he was named Player of the Year.
He then joined FC Halifax Town in 2013, reaching the play-offs in his first season. Mr Maynard then spent two years at Tranmere Rovers before his move and success with Salford.
On securing his loan deal with the Moors, Mr Maynard said: “I 'm absolutely delighted to get it over the line. I wanted to go and get some games under my belt, so I 'm excited for the season.
“Playing against Solihull over the years, I 've always thought they 've been a good club and I 'm excited to be here.
“The aspirations and the challenge is something I 'm totally up for and I think everyone 's singing off the same hymn sheet here.
“It 's nice to give experience to younger players and players around you. Just to be that voice and use your experiences - there 's no harm in doing that, so I will and hopefully that 'll be a good addition to the squad. ”
Manager Neal Ardley added: “Lois is a player who has played at big clubs and had promotions being at the top of this league.
“We wanted to bring more strength, power and athleticism to the team and along with his vast experience, we believe Lois adds this to the group. ”
