Claritas Tax, the UK’s leading independent tax consultancy firm, has announced a raft of promotions across the business with effect from 1 March.

These key promotions demonstrate Claritas’ commitment to growing the business whenever possible from within its own ranks and highlight the depth of talent that the firm has across a range of specialisms.

Adam Keates and Cass Cornforth have been promoted to associate partners. Adam joined the firm in 2017 from a Big Four firm as an assistant manager.

He has gone from strength to strength. Not only being recognised as the firm’s champion Mario Kart racer, Adam was also a finalist for Young Professional of the Year 2023 in Birmingham.

He works across the private client and M&A service lines and is a huge asset in the firm's technical committee.

Cass joined the firm in the summer of 2021 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s Owner Managed Business tax committee.

She works across the Corporate and Transaction taxes teams and has been spending her time supporting the build-up of our Nottingham office. She has also served as the lead adviser on numerous high-profile transactions since joining, such as the sale of JW Double Day to Ben Burgess, winning recognition in the 2023 South East Insider Dealmakers Awards.

Faith Ross has been promoted to senior manager. Faith joined in 2015 as the firm’s sixth employee and first graduate trainee. She is the reigning Insider Midlands Young Accountant of the Year and she works across the Innovations and Corporate service lines.

Faye Jacklin has been promoted to manager. Faye joined the firm from HMRC in January 2019 and completed the graduate training programme. She now sits within the Private Client team and is also on the committee of Future Faces Chamber of Commerce, part of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

Faye was a finalist in the Birmingham Young Professional Awards in 2023 and helps to lead on the firm’s social value impact for local communities.

Iain Wright, founding partner and head of Birmingham Office at Claritas said: “Congratulations to our promoted team members and our wider team for a successful start to the year.

“These promotion numbers reflect the high levels of skill and expertise we have across the company.

“We are dedicated to investing in our homegrown talent and giving high-achieving team members opportunities to develop and progress is a big part of this. It is always a pleasure to reward excellence, and these promotions have been thoroughly deserved.”

Matt Hodgson, partner and head of the Manchester Office at Claritas adds: “It’s incredibly rewarding to see Faith and Faye, two of our graduate starters, work their way through our business and achieve these key milestone promotions.

“Cass and Adam are leaders in our business and highly respected by the clients they work with, so their promotions are in recognition of these (and other) fantastic attributes. I really am over the moon for all of them.”
