Supply firm announces new charity partnership
Specialist construction, mechanical and electrical supplier, DP Building Systems, has recently partnered with Cancer Research UK to raise money which can be used for cancer research.
By creating this partnership, DP Building Systems has taken a big step forward in the advancement of cancer research and technology and is making it possible for cancer patients to get the care and support they need.
The firm has two non-profit exclusive license partnership with charities Cancer Research UK and LGBT Foundation to design, manufacture and sell products which when bought raise donations to the different charities.
They also have launched two websites where their products can be purchased, and are reaching out for help to raise donations through the purchase of the charity cables.
The Cancer Research UK colours has been incorporated to make functional and essential products unique. Each cable carries its own separate donation value while a donation of £5.00 will be made to Cancer Research UK for each cable purchased.
There are over 9.5 million cancer related deaths in the UK each year. Over the years, family and friends of DP Building Systems have also been affected, and that is why we are passionate about doing its part to support Cancer Research UK.
As a thank you for each purchase, DP Building System and Cancer Research UK are offering the opportunity to personalise each cable. Customers can name it after a brand or someone close to their heart. A personalised message will also be included within the packaging, which could be an internal message or something more bespoke for a customer or client.
Rob White (pictured), commercial director of DP Building Systems Ltd, explained why the firm was supporting the charity, and said: ''I lost my Mum to cancer when I was 17 years old and I didn 't tell any of my friends that Mum was diagnosed. I am not sure why, but I was young, and I wasn 't sure who to talk too, what to do, and the support from charities such as Cancer Research UK were not available.
“My Dad also was diagnosed with prostate cancer six years ago when he was running DP Building Systems, and he asked me to take over the family business. Thankfully, he recovered. But cancer has not just impacted me, its affected many of my employees in different ways.
"As a team, we wanted to make a difference to beat cancer and we felt by generating donations, raising awareness and offering people a means to remember and celebrate the people they love and perhaps, have lost, is important to us. We know it 's only a small gesture, but we want to do our bit to help find a cure. ' '
