Views are being sought on key issues businesses are facing with global trade.

The British Chambers have launched their 2021 International Trade Survey, which is looking for views from businesses both within and outside the UK on the key issues about trading internationally.

Employers are encouraged to take part in this seven-minute survey, which will cover areas of the current conditions and pressures faced by businesses, barriers to trade, the impacts of Brexit, priorities for the net zero agenda and how this affects future investment plans.

The British Chambers will use this information to lobby senior policy makers in the UK government to ensure businesses ' views are taken into account to create better trading conditions.

Beth Clewes (pictured), insight and intelligence services manager at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said “With the disruption of Brexit and Covid, International Trade is one of the most important issues the business community is facing at the moment, both within Greater Birmingham and across the UK.

“The local results from this survey will be invaluable in advising the focus of our policy work going forwards.

“Together with analysis from our Quarterly Economic Snapshot and Quarterly Business Report, these data will be a powerful tool to inform our work making Birmingham the best place to start and grow a business. ”

The survey closes on 31 October.
