Sutton business leader to embark on 255-mile charity cycling challenge
A Sutton Coldfield business leader is taking on a huge 255-mile London to Paris bike ride to raise funds for a bereavement charity.
Clive Poole, director of workplace design solutions firm X2 Workspaces, will be peddling from Trafalgar Square in London to the Eiffel Tower in the French capital in support of the Edward’s Trust.
Clive (pictured), who is also a Royal Sutton Chamber of Commerce committee member, begins the trek on 18 July.
The Edward’s Trust provides free bereavement counselling to children and families suffering bereavement and facing loss.
This also includes wellbeing therapy and respite breaks.
Clive, who has raised more than £28,000 for the charity in the past, said: “I have been impressed with the invaluable work that they do through their trained counsellors and the positive benefit it brings to the families.
“I first started supporting them in 2017 and have completed a number of cycling challenges since then including a previous ride to Paris and one to Amsterdam.
“Training started some weeks back and is currently progressing well.”
Anyone who would like to contribute to Clive’s fundraising target can do so via the JustGiving page.
