A podcast in which four business owners come together to share their “triumphs and tribulations ” has received support from Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce.

'A Funny Thing Called Business ' was launched last year and features Sutton Coldfield Chamber members Clare Whalley (Meta4 Coaching), Pete Morgan (Monkeypants Productions), Darren Langley (Darren Langley Web Design) and Kate Curry (The Curry Design Studio).

They use the platform Listen share stories - some good and some perilous - of running small business and how they now avoid perilous customer chaos and pitfalls.

The quartet say the podcast was borne out of a desire to “bring the fun and creativity back into business ”.

Episodes so far have covered topic such as 'Customer Capers ' and 'Networking No-Nos ', while a 'Meeting Madness ' episode is in the pipeline.

Now, Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce has agreed to sponsor the podcast.

Clare, who is vice-president of the Chamber, said: "Collaborating with fellow Chamber members on a relatively new marketing avenue like podcasting, has meant the whole experience felt less daunting and much more fun.

“Working alongside people I know and trust through chamber networking has meant there was already a huge level of familiarity, which is reflected in our relaxed, but informative podcast and to share in the success with our local chamber now is the cherry on the top. ”

The podcast has now received in excess of 3,000 downloads.
