Sutton United call on fans to pack out Coleshill Road for FA Vase clash
Sutton United are urging supporters to get behind the club as they return to FA Vase action this Saturday, with Dudley Town the visitors to Coleshill Road Stadium in the Second Qualifying Round.
Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 12 September, with the club hoping for a strong turnout as it looks to build on a run of memorable FA Vase occasions in recent seasons.
The competition has provided some of Sutton United's biggest days both home and away. Supporters travelled in growing numbers to away wins at Tividale and Winsford, the latter seeing the Greens fight back from a goal and a man down to win 3-1. At home, crowds of around 2,000 and 1,300 respectively turned out for victories over Bourne Town and Step 5 side Gresley Rovers.
The club says this Saturday's tie offers fans the chance to be part of another cup run, with a place in the next round of the competition at stake.
Sutton United are encouraging supporters old and new to come down to Coleshill Road Stadium to back the team and help create the kind of atmosphere that has driven previous Vase performances.
A spokesperson said: "This Saturday, Dudley Town stand between the Greens and a place in the next round, and once again we need the Green Army behind the lads.
"Cup runs are built on special afternoons, big performances and incredible support from the stands. We’ve experienced plenty of FA Vase magic already – now it’s time to try and create some more."
Tickets are available on the gate, with the match kicking off at 3pm on Saturday 12 September at Coleshill Road Stadium.
