Swimmer smashes 12k barrier for charity

A team member of the Newlife charity had swam over 12,000 metres to raise vital funds for the charity.

Gail Hurd (pictured) had competed in the #SwimYourWay challenge in aid of the charity which is dedicated to change the lives of disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.

The charity offers a lifeline for families, providing life-changing and life-saving specialist equipment when and where it 's needed.

Craig Stewart, head of corporate and community fundraising at Newlife said: “Gail has done an amazing job launching our new swimming challenge #SwimYourWay for 2023.

“Not only has Gail pulled this all together, she has also taken part and smashed her own goals!
