Birmingham and Solihull law firm Sydney Mitchell has successfully retained its Lexcel accreditation, reaffirming its commitment to the highest standards of legal practice, client care and business management.

Lexcel is The Law Society's recognised legal quality mark and is widely regarded as the gold standard for excellence in legal practice.

The accreditation is awarded only to firms that demonstrate outstanding performance across client care, risk management, leadership, operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance. It provides clients with independent assurance of a firm's quality and professionalism.

Sydney Mitchell also continues to hold the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation – the recognised quality standard for SRA-regulated firms undertaking residential conveyancing. The firm's conveyancing team is led by Partner Adam Oleskow.

Karen Moores, (pictured) senior partner at Sydney Mitchell, said: “Retaining our Lexcel accreditation is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, professionalism and commitment of every member of our team.

“It recognises the strong culture we have built around delivering exceptional legal advice and outstanding client service for both private and business clients.

“Lexcel, together with our CQS accreditation, demonstrates our continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and best practice across every area of the firm.”

Karen added that the accreditations also provides reassurance for clients.

She said: “Although Lexcel accreditation is voluntary, it gives clients confidence that they are instructing a firm that has been independently assessed against rigorous standards.

“It demonstrates our commitment to excellence in client care, effective case management, transparency and continuous improvement, ensuring our clients' best interests remain at the heart of everything we do.

“We are proud to maintain the highest standards of legal expertise and client care. These accreditations reflect our dedication to delivering exceptional service, embracing industry best practice and achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.”

In addition to Lexcel and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), Sydney Mitchell is a member of Resolution, Solihull Chamber of Commerce and Birmingham Law Society.

Founded more than 260 years ago, Sydney Mitchell LLP has offices in Birmingham and Solihull.

The firm is ranked as a Top Tier practice in The Legal 500 and is a seven-time winner of Birmingham Law Society's Firm of the Year (5–15 Partners)/Regional Law Firm Award.
