T level Education & Early Years learners from Solihull Sixth Form College visited Birmingham City University recently for one of their Explore Days.

Explore Days offers students a taste of degree level study on campus and the college learners went along to get more information about their education courses. They took part in a number of workshops to experience the sort of learning they could expect if they choose to pursue those undergraduate courses after they finish their T level studies at the College.

Nosheen Hamid, assistant curriculum leader for Sport & Health at the College, commented: "Birmingham City University's Explore Days are a great opportunity for our young people to experience one of the possible progression routes open to them once they finish their T level studies with us. It was great to see learners immerse themselves in the workshops and they got a lot out of experience."

The T level Education & Early Years course is equivalent to studying three A levels. The programme combines learning in the classroom with hands on work-based experience.

Learners are required to complete 750 hours on a placement across the two-year course, which means they are in college for three days per week and on an industry work placement two days per week.
