Tamworth academy seeking leaders for committee roles

Tamworth based Academy Landau Forte are looking for business leaders to join as chairs of two committees for schools in Greenacres and Amington.

The chairs will lead committees at the schools, supporting governors and trustees to fulfil their roles in recruiting senior leaders and head teachers, engaging with parents, pupils and staff, representing the governing board in its dealings with external partners and being an advocate for the school across the community.

Chief executive of Landau Forte Academy Trust and executive member of the Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, Sarah Findlay-Cobb (pictured), sees the role as a great opportunity for a person with business acumen and experience of managing committees.

She said: "I am extremely proud to be the CEO of Landau Forte Charitable Trust with four schools in Tamworth and two in Derby.

"I am currently looking for two chairs of academy to support and challenge Amington and Greencare 's teams to make sure we continue to maximise our impact whilst supporting school leaders in the best possible way.

"By becoming a chair at either of our Tamworth schools, you can help us champion every child 's full potential and really make a difference to education in Tamworth. '
