Tamworth businesses urged to complete council programmes and receive £1,000 grant
Businesses trading in Tamworth are encouraged to complete Staffordshire County Council’s business development schemes and apply for a Business Growth Action Grant of up to £1,000.
The announcement comes after Staffordshire County Council joined forces with Tamworth Borough Council to help businesses access support programmes including the Growth Ladder and Build and Scale schemes.
The grant can be used to invest in new equipment, software, technology or other capital investment that will help businesses grow, improve productivity, increase capacity, improve resilience.
Grants can also be used to invest in recommendations included within the action plan developed through Growth Ladder or Build and Scale.
Applications must be submitted by 2pm on 30 November and will be assessed during December, with the deadline for grant claim submissions set at 11.59pm on 28 February 2027.
Robin Hall (pictured), Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: “We know there are ambitious businesses across Staffordshire with the potential to grow, create jobs and contribute even more to our local economy.
“The Build and Scale and Growth Ladder programmes are about giving those businesses access to the expertise, support and challenge they need to take the next step.
“If we want higher productivity, better-paid jobs and stronger local communities, we need successful businesses.
“That means backing entrepreneurs, supporting innovation and helping companies turn ambition into growth. These programmes are another practical step towards building a stronger Staffordshire economy.”
