Tamworth council reveals changes to cabinet

The leader of Tamworth Borough Council, Councillor Thomas Jay (pictured), has announced changes to the council’s cabinet.

Councillor Samuel Smith has taken the position of deputy leader.

The Cabinet members are now as follows:

Councillor Thomas Jay: Leader & Finance and Governance 
Councillor Samuel Smith: Deputy Leader & Cabinet Member for Housing & Planning
Councillor Andrew Cooper: Waste, Recycling and Environment
Councillor Paul Thompson: Town Centre and Assets
Councillor Martin Summers: Environmental Health and Community Partnerships
Councillor Jeremy Oates: Strategic Projects
Councillor Tina Clements: Engagement, Leisure and Events

Cllr Jay said: “By reorganising the cabinet portfolios I believe this will ensure we fully utilise the skills of each member of my cabinet and will ensure we continue to deliver for Tamworth”
