Tamworth young professionals urged to apply for council-backed Future Faces memberships
Applications are now open for talented young professionals across Tamworth to apply for a fully-funded membership of the Future Faces Chamber of Commerce – backed by Tamworth Borough Council.
Future Faces, the young professionals’ division of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, is a network for 18 to 35-year-olds.
Tamworth Borough Council is sponsoring 10 Future Faces memberships for a one-year period.
These memberships will provide successful applicants with the opportunity to match with a mentor, take part in professional development events and network with fellow young professionals from a range of industries.
The initiative supports Future Faces’ drive to engage with more young professionals in Staffordshire.
Young professionals have until 25 June to apply for the Tamworth Borough Council scheme.
Councillor Nova Arkney, portfolio holder for infrastructure and local economy, at Tamworth Borough Council, said: “Future Faces is an excellent opportunity for diverse, talented, young professionals to expand their skills and knowledge within a programme that offers professional support and a strong network of business contacts.
“Tamworth has 10 free places to offer individuals that are looking to take advantage of this amazing membership.
“Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce have created this annual membership to help network, develop and recognise young professionals across all sectors.”
Sophie Poduval-Morrell (pictured), Future Faces manager, said: “The popularity of Future Faces across Staffordshire continues to grow – and we are grateful for the support of Tamworth Borough Council in promoting the opportunities available to young professionals.
“We look forward to welcoming the new cohort from Tamworth to our forthcoming Future Faces events across Staffordshire.”
Charlie Elliott, head of Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, which is part of the GBCC, said: “It’s fantastic that Tamworth Borough Council recognise the benefit of providing opportunities for local young professionals to be a part of Future Faces.
“Supporting the future workforce is a key priority of the Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber and these sponsored memberships will provide an opportunity for the next generation of leaders to meet their peers and learn from senior figures across the business community.”
Tamworth young professionals can apply now for a fully-funded Future Faces membership.
