Tantamount clients scoop prizes at tech awards
Creative agency Tantamount saw two of their clients carry away trophies at the Technology Innovation Awards dinner, with garden furniture manufacturers Emelda Grace named as Sustainability Innovator of the Year and Dan Barlow, CEO of IT services company Kagool, named Male Innovator of the Year.
Rather than putting themselves forward for an Innovation Award, this year Tantamount decided to support the initiative in the role of sponsor. They also designed the event brochure in both interactive and print versions.
Tantamount director, Gwyneth Box, said: “When we were sent the content for the brochure, we were delighted to see friends, colleagues and clients in the running for awards.
“As sponsors, we had no say in who won the awards and we obviously tried to be impartial; but it 's always gratifying to see clients recognised for their work and people you 've worked with stepping up on stage to receive an award. ”
Tantamount was represented at the awards evening by Gwyneth and her co-director Fernando Ariel, together with guests including clients, collaborators, and other business contacts.
One of Tantamount 's guests, Marcelle Batson-Warner from Warwick Manufacturing Group, was pleased to be invited to attend, as she was able to join other members of the WMG team when they accepted the award for Manufacturing Innovation Champion (Organisation). Marcelle said: “Being there to receive the award along with other colleagues at WMG was an absolute pleasure for me. It might just have made my year! ”
Around two thirds of Tantamount clients have won awards of various kinds, from 'Woman Who ', to local business awards, to awards recognising their contribution to community and charitable causes.
Gwyneth says that strong, supportive relationships are one of the principles that underpin the company 's work with these and all their clients. “We deal with brand communications - using the right words, visuals and medium for each particular project.
“This involves building very close relationships, as we need to be able to speak on behalf of each client as they would speak for themselves. To do this, we become an integral part of the client 's team; and that means that each win for our clients is a win for us, too. ”
The Innovation Awards are organised by the Technology Supply Chain, a Community Interest Company that provides support and information for manufacturing, technology and engineering companies and the services providers who work with them.
