Justine Stalker (pictured) has joined Claritas Tax as tax partner and head of Claritas’ new Leeds office, adding more momentum to their ambitious growth plans for the Yorkshire region.

The move marks another significant milestone in Claritas’ growth, as it continues to scale its national reach while attracting some of the industry’s most experienced and talented tax advisers.

Justine brings with her over 26 years’ tax experience.

With deep specialisms in R&D, shareholder taxes, corporate reorganisations and M&A advisory, Justine will be working with the company’s wider team of experts to continue to deliver high quality, professional advice to the Yorkshire market and beyond.

While Claritas has successfully served the Yorkshire region from other UK offices, establishing a dedicated base at Platform in Leeds significantly enhances the company’s ability to provide advice to the local market.

Leeds is the second largest financial centre after London underpinned by a major banking and insurance presence and a rapidly expanding fintech sector.

Justine said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Claritas Tax as tax partner and head of our new Leeds office. This is a genuinely exciting time to be part of such a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial tax specialist firm.

“Claritas is the largest independent specialist tax provider in the UK and stands apart in the market due to its distinct approach, pricing and client service.

“Although we only opened our doors in Leeds at the start of June, I've been truly overwhelmed by the incredibly warm, welcoming, and supportive response from the Yorkshire market.”

The new office in Leeds adds to the firm’s current office locations in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield.

Iain Wright, founding partner and Birmingham office lead, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Justine to the team. Her track record, values and deep experience align perfectly with Claritas’ vision and ambition. Justine’s appointment strengthens our offering in Yorkshire and enhances our ability to serve clients across the UK.”

Matt Hodgson, Partner & Manchester office lead continued: “We are incredibly excited to have Justine onboard to lead our charge into the Yorkshire market.

“Justine is incredibly well-regarded in this region, advising mid-market business owners on their personal and corporate tax affairs.

“Coupled with our recent acquisition of Markel’s Incentives & Reliefs business in Sheffield, it’s exciting to make such an immediate impact in this important region for us.”
