Techcare donates laptop to support Grace Cares' community work

Lichfield-based circular economy not-for-prifit Grace Cares has received a new HP ProBook laptop, donated by Techcare, to support its community and volunteer work.

The laptop has been gifted to Pippa Moor, Grace Cares' community and volunteer lead, who will use it to manage volunteer coordination, community outreach and the day-to-day running of programmes supporting unpaid carers and older people across the region.

Hannah Montgomery, co-founder of Grace Cares, said: “This means so much to us. Pippa pours everything into this team and into the people we support, so having reliable equipment behind her makes a real difference.

“Techcare didn't just donate a laptop, they invested in the work we do every single day.”

Grace Cares rescues, refurbishes and redistributes pre-loved care equipment, selling it at half the original RRP or less, with proceeds funding free community programmes including the Care Club, tea parties, hardship grants and the Caring for Tomorrow webinar series.

The charity has helped more than 5,000 people so far and is aiming to reach 10,000 by the end of 2028.

Tim Hepworth, head of Operations at Techcare, said: "Everyone relies on health and social care at some point in their life, whether for themselves or someone close to them, which is one of the reasons supporting Grace Cares was important to us.

“Our director Sam has a genuine background and passion for care, so the work Pippa and the Grace Cares team are doing really resonates with us. They provide an incredibly valuable service, and we are pleased that the laptop will help make their day-to-day work that little bit easier.”
