Communications and business telecoms provider EVAD has merged with longstanding mobile phone firm Century Mobile.

The company, which specialises in supporting business communication across video, voice and data, is to take over independent city firm Century Mobile as part of an agreed merger.

The move, which is part of ongoing growth plans for Derby-based firm EVAD, will provide clients with a whole host of additional integrated communication solutions.

EVAD chief executive Matt Hill (pictured) said: “As a company we are keen to grow and support local businesses. Derby has always been a place which means a lot to us and we have strong connections with the community and businesses in the region.

“We have worked with Century Mobile and plan.com for a number of years now so when Scott was looking to retire it seemed the ideal opportunity for EVAD to support the business going forward.

“It is an exciting time for the company, and we look forward to continuing the longstanding relationships already built, as we offer our innovative, integrated approach to telecommunications in Derby. ”

As a leading provider of business communication solutions EVAD already support key Derby clients including the NHS, Ward and Derbyshire Cricket Club, and are passionate about supporting community projects in the region being sponsors for Derbyshire Cricket Club too.

The news comes just weeks after the EVAD team moved from Staffordshire to CUBO, at The Old Post Office, in Victoria Street in Derby, as part of plans to expand in the region.
