The Chase star to host Town Hall fundraising quiz

Comedian and quiz champion Paul Sinha (pictured) is to host a special online quiz to raise money for Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.

The quiz, taking place on Wednesday 21 April, will be broadcast live on Zoom to ticket holders who will can download an answer sheet to complete at home.

Audience members can live message the host, star of ITV 's The Chase, and send in their scores.

Revenue from tickets will go towards a £5million major renovation of the charity trust-run Town Hall, which is currently being used for the NHS vaccination programme.

The essential renovation works will secure and restore the Edwardian venue for future generations to use and enjoy.

“Following his sell out show in 2019, Paul Sinha was a natural choice of host when we launched our range of on-line events earlier this year, working with top quiz producers InQuizition, ” said the Town Hall 's managing director Julie Rennison.

“They are superb quiz producers - challenging enough but also accessible for non-quizzers and good fun. ”

Tickets are £7.50 per device. Audience members can operate as a team or alone at home, or work with friends and family over the telephone or messaging apps.

Ticket holders will be quizzed on a range of topics from popular culture to geography, history to science, and everything in between.

Businesses wanting to take part as an office should contact Julie at the Town Hall to arrange a group booking.

The quiz will take place at 8pm, with streaming starting at 7.50pm.
