Theatre appoints six new trustees
The Lichfield Garrick Theatre has announced the appointment of six new trustees.
They are Josh Beaumont, Natalie Haslam, David Hill, Sophie Price, Emma Ryan and Beth Shouler.
The new appointments will join the charity's existing trustees, Deb Baker, Phil Carter, Denise Peach, and acting chair Wayne Smith, volunteering their time and expertise to support the development of the venue.
These new appointments follow the largest open trustee recruitment process the organisation has undertaken, attracting more than 40 applications from across the community.
Josh Beaumont is a commercial theatre producer with over 10 years' experience, working both nationally and internationally.
Natalie Haslam, who has lived in Lichfield all her life, is a producer and dance artist who works for a number of dance companies.
David Hill has enjoyed a long career in the arts, including five years as the marketing director of the Birmingham Hippodrome and as a Framework Consultant for Arts Council England.
Sophie Price is a chartered accountant with a long-standing passion for theatre and performance.
Emma Ryan, who calls Lichfield her home, is head of communications at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
Beth Shouler is a Midlands-based theatre director with a particular passion for supporting emerging artists and developing new audiences.
Artistic director and chief executive, Daniel Buckroyd, said: “Arts charities like Lichfield Garrick Theatre thrive when a talented staff team are working in close partnership with a dynamic, ambitious, experienced Board of voluntary Trustees.
“So, we're thrilled to welcome this new cohort of Trustees who join our team as the venue celebrates its twentieth anniversary, and who, alongside our existing Board members, will bring new insight and energy to the organisation as we shape our vision for the next twenty years of live theatre in Lichfield.”
