Birmingham Rep has revealed more productions coming to their stages this autumn and beyond.

Due to high demand, an additional performance of Yeh Dosti: Celebrating 50 Years of Sholay has been added on Friday 8 August in The House.

The music and dance show will transport audiences back to the heart of Bollywood’s golden era, featuring mesmerising dance performances choreographed to Sholay‘s legendary soundtrack and honouring the legacy of a movie that has captivated audiences for half a century.

After captivating Birmingham audiences earlier this year, Myra’s Story will be back in 2026 – playing at The Rep on Sunday 15 March 2026.

This one-woman play by Irish playwright Brian Foster shares the story of middle-aged homeless alcoholic, Myra McLaughlin.

Playing all the larger-than-life characters, acting out all the hilarious, tragic and heart-breaking events in her life that have taken her to this pitiful state.

Also on the line-up is a double bill coming to The Studio.

Following five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, UK tours and a West End season, Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho comes to The Rep from Friday 24 – Sunday 26 October.

This smash-hit drag extravaganza created by Olivier Award-winner Jon Brittain and Matt Tedford takes place on the eve of the vote on Section 28, when Maggie gets lost in Soho and accidentally becomes a cabaret superstar.

The Rep then bring theatre to the big screen with a screening of the highly anticipated NT Live: Inter Alia on Thursday 30 October.

Oscar-nominated Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Saltburn) is Jessica, a smart Crown Court Judge at the top of her career in this searing examination of modern motherhood and masculinity from the team behind Prima Facie.

Just in time for Halloween, a nightmare is about to break free when Shock Horrror: A Ghost Story comes to The Door on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November.

Inspired by classic theatre ghost stories and cinema’s greatest frights, this show is full of shivers, shrieks and shocking revelations. Take a chilling journey into an unravelling, haunted past.
