Touchwood sets up collection point for Ukraine

Touchwood Shopping Centre have set up a collection point for Humanitarian Aid in the Orange Welcome Hall of the Touchwood car park in support of Ukraine.

The Shopmobility team are handling donations and are working with 'Ukrainians in Coventry & Warwickshire Humanitarian Aid & Medical Collection ' to get your donations to the people of Ukraine.

The response has been fantastic so far and Touchwood are ready to receive donations of the following:

? Medical supplies (plasters, bandages, medication such as pain killers (not prescribed), burns dressings, first aid kits)

? Barrier creams

? Baby wipes

? Nappies

? Baby food (not glass jars)

? Baby toiletries

? Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shaving products)

? Sanitary products

? Foil blankets

? Sleeping bags

Tony Elvin, general manager at Touchwood, extended special thanks to Alex Knott and his friends at the Hall Green Tennis Club for their contribution to the cause.

After an eight hour tennis tournament, with tombola, cake stall and auction featuring Davis Cup jackets donated by local Hall Green born Tennis Star Dan Evans, raised over £1,350 along with a van load items donated.

This van load represents 50 per cent of everything donated to Touchwood so far including 550 boxes of paracetamol, calpol, baby supplies, sanitary products and more, all thanks to the Hall Green Tennis Club community.

Donations can be made from the Orange Welcome Hall of the Touchwood car park.
