Touchwood shopping centre sold to US investor - report
US-based real estate investment and asset management firm, The Ardent Companies, has bought Solihull's Touchwood shopping centre, according to reports.
Knight Frank acted on behalf of Ardent who have acquired the 650,000 sq ft shopping centre from Lendlease Retail Partnership (LLRP), an investment fund managed by real estate investor Lendlease, represented by CBRE.
Touchwood shopping centre is Solihull 's primary retail spot and attracts an annual footfall of 13 million.
The deal will see the handing over of the centre's retail, restaurant and leisure offering, anchored by the last remaining John Lewis store in the West Midlands region and home to the likes of Apple, Zara, Next and Cineworld.
The acquisition is the firm's second move since launching its London office in January, following its deal to acquire 1.4m sq ft of industrial space from M7 Real Estate in March.
