Businesses will be given a high-level update on regeneration plans for Sutton Coldfield town centre at the Chamber 's forthcoming Royal Business Fair.
The Royal Business Fair - taking place at the Town Hall on Friday 17 June - will feature a seminar from the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council and the Sutton Coldfield Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID).
More than 400 delegates are attending the Sutton Coldfield Chamber 's biggest networking event, which is back after a two-year absence.
Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID and law firm Enoch Evans are the headline sponsors.
The BID 's newly-appointed manager Michelle Baker (pictured) and the Town Council 's regeneration programme director Jan Rowley are delivering a seminar at the business fair.
They will provide an update and answer questions on regeneration plans for the Royal Town.
Jan said: “Working together we can all play our part in repositioning this historic town for residents to enjoy, visitors to experience and businesses and investors to thrive.
“I will be sharing with you the critical role the Town Council plays in progressing the regeneration of the Town and the plans for its future. ”
Michelle said: “I am delighted to attend my first Business Fair and as the newly-appointed Sutton Coldfield BID Manager and I look forward to meeting with local businesses and stakeholders on the day.
Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District (BID) secured a mandate for a further five-year term last year which began in January 2022, I will be managing the BID operations for the new term and have big plans for the BID moving forward.
The BID will be much more high profile with exciting year-round events taking place to showcase the town centre and our fabulous local businesses, new and forward thinking initiatives will be delivered and there will be greater business engagement to understand the obstacles local businesses face.
“Quite simply, we will be putting Sutton Coldfield on the map, boosting footfall in the town and making Sutton the place to do business.
“With 14 years in the BID industry across the U.K I am excited to be working locally in Sutton Coldfield to deliver change and added value for our BID members. ”
