Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council has become a headline sponsor of Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce 's Royal Business Fair.

One of the biggest networking events of the year, the business expo will be returning to the Royal town on 30 June and held at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.

As part of the event, the Town Council will be using the opportunity to engage with businesses about the town's Sutton Coldfield Town Centre Masterplan, to discuss how it is driving regeneration and reimagining the town.

The announcement of £25m of government funding to act as a catalyst for the delivery of the Masterplan means that more than ever the voice of the town 's business community is needed.

It will be a chance for businesses to speak with town councillors and representatives giving an opportunity to provide views and opinions on work that has been taking place around the plan and what the Royal Town 's business community wants to see as the various big moves continue to take shape.

As the headline sponsor of the event, Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council will be hosting a session during the day, with four speakers providing information, insights and tips that will help local businesses grow and thrive.

The Town Council joins the Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID and law firm Enoch Evans as a headline sponsor.

Councillor Mark Roberts member of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber executive committee, said: “Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce 's Royal Business Fair is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to come together, network and share their knowledge.

“This year, with the town council being a headline sponsor, we will be there to engage with businesses about our masterplan and it will give them a chance to share their views on the future of how our town will be shaped and the role that the business community plays.

“We are proud of our key partnership with Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce and the unique position that the Chamber has to engage with businesses throughout Sutton Coldfield as a whole.

“We encourage local businesses to visit and meet Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council, its councillors and colleagues to find out more about our masterplan for the future and how we can help them and their businesses. ”

Councillor Simon Ward (pictured), leader of the Town Council and chairman of the Town Centre Regeneration Partnership, added: “We are delighted to continue our close working relationship with the Chamber.

“We have been clear that the long overdue regeneration of our Town Centre can only come via a team effort involving all stakeholders and the Royal Town 's business community is at the forefront of that team. ”

As well as the events hosted by Royal Sutton Town Council, more than 40 exhibitors will be attending the event, as well as hundreds of business delegates turning out as well for networking and seminars throughout the day.
