CAPE People Development has announced that they have been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories at the British Training Awards 2025:

  • Learning & Development Provider of the Year
  • SME of the Year

With over 360 entries received from across the UK, this year’s awards shine a light on the teams and individuals who are reimagining learning to build more agile, resilient and people-centred organisations.

Finalists span start-ups, public sector innovators, tech pioneers and global brands—so we’re thrilled to be recognised among such an inspiring group.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised in both of these categories,” said Lynsey Kitching, co-founder of CAPE Coaching & Development.

“As a small but mighty team, we’ve poured our hearts into building leadership programmes and people development experiences that are genuinely practical, inclusive and transformational—especially for founder-led organisations navigating growth and change..”

Co-founded by Lynsey Kitching and Naomi Regan, CAPE People Development works with founder- and owner-led organisations to unlock leadership potential, strengthen team performance and embed sustainable people strategies.

Over the last four years, CAPE has delivered impactful programmes across many sectors and facilitated over 600 hours of pro bono people development to charities through its social impact initiative, CAPE Coaching Conversations for good and other projects.

“We’re especially proud to be recognised as an SME finalist,” added Naomi Regan. “As a small team, we stay close to the work. We roll up our sleeves, we listen deeply, and we co-create practical learning experiences that drive real change—whether that’s for a leadership team of five or an entire organisation navigating growth.”

The judging panel for this year’s British Training Awards includes L&D leaders from organisations such as Bupa, Booking.com, Lidl GB, Bentley Motors, Lloyds Banking Group, AJ Bell, and many more.

Finalists will gather for a celebration event on Tuesday, 8 July 2025 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London.

The British Training Awards are powered by New Possible, a next-generation employee insight platform helping leaders build healthier, more effective organisations.

“We were humbled by the record number and quality of entries this year,” said Nate Harwood, founder of New Possible. “L&D is the powerhouse behind an agile and resilient workforce, and we’re proud to recognise the talented teams and individuals who make this possible. Congratulations to all our finalists.”
