Training provider to host Birmingham Tech Week fringe event
Netcom Training will host a fringe event during the upcoming Birmingham Tech Week, as part of their commitment to fostering digital talent.
The event will take place on Monday, 20 October at the ICentrum building, Holt St.
The training provider is also a patron of Birmingham Tech Week 2025, the UK’s largest regional tech festival, running from 20–24 October across the West Midlands.
This year’s theme, “Quantum Leap,” reflects the region’s ambition to lead in digital innovation and skills development.
The event, titled “How to Unlock the TRUE Potential of AI,” will bring together business leaders, senior data experts, and AI enthusiasts to explore the vital role of data quality in successful AI projects.
A keynote session will be held with Dr. Sudheer Parwana, partner at PwC and OpenAI UK alliance leader, who will share his perspective on the intersection of AI innovation and business transformation.
Attendees can gain real-world insights into how data quality impacts AI outcomes, learn practical strategies to assess and enhance their data, and hear from a panel of experienced data and AI professionals.

Meanwhile, Netcom Training’s operations director Karen Rodkin (pictured) will take the stage at the Digital Skills Symposium on 21 October.
With an extensive background in talent acquisition and a deep understanding of the tech sector, Karen will discuss actionable strategies to bridge the digital skills gap and prepare the workforce for the challenges of tomorrow.
Adding to their involvement, Dan Rodrigues, employer engagement manager at Netcom Training, will serve as a judge for the “Start-Up of the Year” category at the Tech Awards.
The awards ceremony, a black-tie gala held on Friday, 24 October, will celebrate the region’s most innovative companies and rising tech stars.
Birmingham Tech Week 2025 is expected to attract over 8,000 attendees and feature more than 60 events, including flagship gatherings like the Scale-Up Summit and the Digital Skills Symposium.
The week will unite entrepreneurs, educators, investors, and industry leaders to celebrate innovation and explore how technology continues to drive regional growth.
