An award-winning Midlands creative content agency is continuing its mission to support young professionals as its successful training academy returns for a second year - now with a new creative AI module designed to boost employability in the region.

Following the success of its launch in 2025, Birmingham-based Academy by Tribera will return in June with a free immersive four-week programme designed to bridge the skills gap between university education and the marketing industry.

The programme covers practical training in essential areas of digital marketing, including social media, PR, SEO, content creation and paid advertising, and forms part of Tribera’s ongoing partnerships with Birmingham City University and Aston University.

The return of the academy comes at a timely moment, as UK unemployment is set to peak at 5.3 per cent this year, with ONS figures showing 16 to 23-year-old unemployment remaining higher than the national average.

And with growing concerns among young people around AI’s impact on junior roles, Tribera says initiatives that equip graduates with practical, future‑ready skills are more important than ever.

The 2025 Tribera Academy pilot delivered real employability impact, with 30 per cent of participants securing permanent marketing roles at organisations such as Gateley PLC and Croud within four months, and the remaining 70 per cent either employed, interviewing, gaining work experience or continuing in education.

An independent review by Next Level Recruitment also found that students boosted their employability skills by an average of 26.9 per cent after completing the programme.

Co-founder of Tribera, Dré Picart, said: “Breaking into the marketing industry is harder than ever, and we know many young people are worried about how AI is reshaping entry-level roles.

“That’s exactly why Academy by Tribera is evolving. By combining real-world insight and industry experience with hands on creative AI training, we’re giving students and graduates the future-ready skills that employers are actively demanding.

“We want to empower young professionals to use AI tools for marketing properly, and confidently, as well as teaching them the fundamentals of the industry, so they can stand out and succeed in a rapidly changing job market.”

Emma Neale, programme director, engagement & development lead at Aston University, said: “This is a fantastic enhancement to our practice-based degree at Aston University, giving students the opportunity to gain real work experience within an agency environment while applying their skills and strengthening their employability.

“Last year’s feedback was excellent, and we expect even more students to benefit from  Academy by Tribera this year. Our partnership with Tribera continues to grow stronger, offering students even richer learning experiences and better preparation for their future careers.”

Dré continued: “The need to support and protect early career talent has never been greater, and together we can ensure the Midlands remains a place where young creatives can build meaningful, long-term careers.”

Academy by Tribera’s flagship programme runs in June each year for Aston and Birmingham City University students, with future plans to include an expansion outside of the university pipeline, as well as discipline-focused course and broader industry partnerships.
