Three Birmingham-based lawyers with legal firm Browne Jacobson have been promoted to partners.

The promotions are among a raft of nine high-flying legal staff who have been upgraded to partner status.

The UK & Ireland law firm has now grown its partnership to 173 after announcing the career moves. The firm has also confirmed the promotion of three senior associates to legal director, bringing the total number of legal directors at the firm to 26.

In Birmingham the new partners are Simon Brooks and Jonathan Borer from the Real Estate team and Emma Hughes from HR Services Education.

The nine promotions also span the firm 's Exeter, London, and Nottingham offices and further build on last year 's eight partner and legal director promotions. The promotions will take effect from May 1.

Caroline Green (pictured), senior partner at Browne Jacobson, said: “We are committed to investing in our future lawyers and this year 's cohort of new partners and legal directors demonstrates the strength and depth of our legal offering.

“All of those promoted have made an outstanding contribution to the firm and have each played - and will continue to play - an important role in helping us drive our business forward as advisers to businesses and to the institutions which play a key role in society.

“We are hugely ambitious for the firm and for each other 's success and excited about what we can achieve together. We look forward to working with all those promoted to build their professional careers at Browne Jacobson and to their invaluable contribution to the partnership, our clients and the long-term growth and success of the firm. ”
