Communications and engagement specialist Copper Consultancy has kicked off 2021 with a trio of promotions at its Birmingham office.

The agency, which specialises in complex infrastructure and development projects, has promoted Fiona Woolston (pictured) to group account director - Midlands, Joseph Moore to account manager, and James Bonner to senior account executive.

Fiona will act as an ambassador for Copper Consultancy in the Midlands as well as taking on responsibility for the strategic direction of the agency 's growing Midlands portfolio which includes clients in the transportation, housing, and regeneration sectors.

In 2019, Copper Consultancy launched the 'Is Birmingham Booming for Everybody ' report which examined attitudes to development in the second city.

Fiona and the wider Birmingham team will look to build upon the results of this report to ensure that local communities in Birmingham and the Midlands are part of the region 's development journey.

Fiona said: “Birmingham is in the midst of a renaissance and the current pandemic shows few signs of slowing this growth.

“Across the city and the wider Midlands development continues at pace. The Paradise development in the City Centre, the Metro extension, the construction of the Commonwealth Games stadia, and other such developments are transforming the city.

“Having been born and raised in Birmingham, I am passionate about its development and want the city and my home region to succeed. As Group Account Director - Midlands, I - alongside the enthusiastic team of consultants in the Copper Consultancy Birmingham office - will be a vocal champion of the city and the businesses that call it home.

“This means championing the voices of Midlanders by putting them at the heart of development to ensure that changes in their communities are happening for them and not to them.

“As such, we will work closely with developers to secure truly lasting, positive relations with local people and businesses to safeguard their legacy in Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
