Trust CEO to take on the Great Birmingham Run for Charity

University Hospitals Birmingham 's (UHB) chief executive, Jonathan Brotherton, is donning his running shoes in the Great Birmingham Run in support of University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.

UHB Charity is proud to work in partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust to help deliver care to almost 3 million patients each year across four hospital sites: Good Hope Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and Solihull Hospital.

Jonathan Brotherton (pictured) said: “I 'm running the Birmingham Half Marathon to lend my support to UHB Charity which supports the Trust that I am so very proud to work for.

“The Charity helps the Trust immensely every day by funding multiple items that the NHS cannot routinely purchase, from state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to supporting life-saving research and funding patients ' comforts to try and make what can be a difficult time as easy as it possibly can be. ”

UHB Charity supports everyone who comes into hospitals from premature babies, children undergoing lifesaving treatment, cancer and transplant patients, injured military personnel and elderly patients suffering with dementia.
