Turkish Airlines become latest Chamber patron
Turkish Airlines has become the latest patron of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, strengthening links between the West Midlands and one of the world’s largest global flight networks.
The award-winning airline has operated from Birmingham Airport for 18 years and runs twice-daily flights between Birmingham and Istanbul.
Through its Istanbul hub, Turkish Airlines connects the West Midlands to more than 300 destinations worldwide, supporting business travel, international trade and investment opportunities for firms across the region.
Last year, the airline increased its Birmingham to Istanbul service to double daily flights, underlining its long-term commitment to the region.
Raj Kandola, deputy CEO of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “Turkish Airlines has played an important role in strengthening Birmingham’s global links over the past 18 years.
“Its twice-daily service to Istanbul gives businesses across the West Midlands access to more than 300 destinations worldwide, supporting trade, investment and international collaboration.
“Strong global links are vital to our region’s ability to attract investment, open up new markets and help businesses grow.
“This partnership reflects our shared ambition to ensure Greater Birmingham remains an outward-looking, globally connected place to do business.”
Turkish Airlines recently unveiled its 500th aircraft, featuring a special livery made up of photographs of its 100,000 employees and retirees.
