UB Healthcare co-founders Uko Umotong and Harry Bourton have been nominated for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 Midlands programme.

The programme recognises outstanding entrepreneurial leadership and high-growth businesses across the region.

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme is one of the most respected global awards for entrepreneurs, celebrating founders who are building innovative, impactful and scalable businesses.

Uko and Harry’s nomination reflects the rapid growth of UB Healthcare and its increasing impact across the NHS and wider health and care system.

Founded with a mission to improve outcomes for people and communities, UB healthcare has become a trusted partner to NHS organisations, supporting the delivery and transformation of complex and funded care services, including All-Age Continuing Care (AACC), discharge pathways and complex case management.

Under Uko and Harry’s leadership, the organisation has grown into a national, multidisciplinary provider, combining deep clinical expertise, operational delivery and digital innovation to help systems improve quality, achieve financial efficiencies and deliver sustainable transformation.

The co-founders recently attended the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Midlands nominee event at Tattu, Birmingham, where they joined an inspiring network of entrepreneurs shaping the future of business across the UK.

Uko Umotong said: “This nomination is a reflection of the incredible team at UB healthcare and the partners we work with across the NHS.

Our focus has always been on improving outcomes for people and communities, and it’s a privilege to see that recognised alongside so many inspiring businesses. We’re looking forward to the journey ahead.”

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme provides nominees with access to a powerful network of founders, mentors and industry leaders, supporting continued growth, innovation and leadership development.
