Organisers of UK Construction Week have unveiled a bold new theme for this autumn’s three-day show.

The show will take place at the NEC from September 29 to October 1 and will be centred around three core themes – building better, building smarter and building responsibly.

It will feature a refreshed main stage programme, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, clients, contractors, manufacturers and innovators to showcase what's already working, where real progress is being made and the practical actions that can accelerate delivery, improve productivity, drive sustainability and unlock growth.

Speakers include TV presenter and architect George Clarke, Jackie Rigby (assistant director - Regeneration, Partnerships and Major Projects, Homes England), Tim Balcon, (CEO, CITB), Sarah-Jayne Pizzie (construction deputy director, Ministry of Justice), Desiree Blamey (managing director, Considerate Constructors Scheme) and Emma Whigham (alliance operations director, New Hospital Programme).

Martin Hurn, UKCW Birmingham editorial director, said: “Based on feedback from our visitors, exhibitors and partners, we're transforming the event from a traditional exhibition into a more connected, curated marketplace where the industry comes together to do business, discover innovation, build relationships and share practical solutions.

“At the heart of The Construction Reset at UKCW Birmingham will be connecting all of the elements of the supply chain to drive us forward - clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers.”

Sponsored by Wyre, HotelPlanner and Build Warranty, UKCW Birmingham will feature over 250 leading brands, 200 speakers and over 150 hours of CPD-accredited seminars across four stages, alongside a series of built-for-purpose sections.
