UK-US tax experts celebrate 15 years in business
DY USA, an international accountancy firm specialising in UK-US tax planning, advisory, and compliance, is celebrating 15 years of serving clients on both sides of the Atlantic and fulfilling its purpose of safeguarding futures.
With offices in Shrewsbury and Cleveland, Ohio, the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce members support businesses and individuals with cross-border needs requiring focused tax technical expertise, clear guidance, and trusted collaboration.
Since opening in 2011, managing partner Rob Whittall’s vision has been on building a firm that puts people first—not as a slogan, but as daily practice.
DY USA say they pair technical excellence with a deliberate commitment to a sustainable, people-centred workplace where long-term success is driven by trust, transparency, and respect for the individual.
Over the past five years, DY USA has grown from 14 to 23 team members across the UK and US and achieved an average annual revenue increase of 15 per cent, driven primarily by referrals from clients and professional service providers.
DY USA has been recognised as a Tolley’s Taxation “Best Employer in Tax” finalist (2024 2026) and an Ohio Business Magazine “Great Workplaces in Ohio” honoree (2023–2025), reflecting the firm’s culture, benefits, employee engagement, and community involvement in the UK and the US.
The firm was also recognised by Engage! Cleveland as the 2024 Generation NEXT Award “Program of the Year” (small business category) for its “Be Better Than Yesterday Coaching Program.”
Rob (pictured) said: “As I reflect on the past 15 years and how the firm has grown, it is with both pride and humility.”
“From day one, success has never been defined solely by meeting revenue goals or the number of clients we serve… while those measures are important.
“DY USA’s focus has always been about delivering exceptional, personalised client service and building a culture where team members can thrive professionally and personally and genuinely enjoy coming to work.
“If we’re doing that well, we’re strengthening the business as well as making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
“That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, and it reflects a commitment to all our stakeholders – our clients, team, service providers, business partners, and the communities we’re part of.”
