University announced as latest sponsor of Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2025
Birmingham City University has been announced as the latest category sponsor for the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2025.
Taking place at the ICC Birmingham on Friday 17 October, the awards will celebrate the talent and successes of young professionals across Greater Birmingham.
Birmingham City University (BCU) will be sponsoring the Digital, Tech & Innovation category.
Professor David Mba (pictured), Vice Chancellor of Birmingham City University, said: “Birmingham City University is delighted to be sponsoring the Digital, Tech & Innovation category in the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2025.
“As a university we are proud to led CreaTech Frontiers, a 5-year £7.2 million project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to drive research, development, and business innovation in the creative industries and to host STEAMhouse, a £70 million centre for collaborative innovation, business support, learning opportunities and office space in the heart of Birmingham.
“We are also the leading university in the West Midlands for student and graduate start-ups and have just launched our expanded BCU Business Services offer as part of our increasing support for businesses and organisations in the city.

This year also marks 25 years of BYPY, the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards, dating back to when the awards were first launched under the BPS Network, which later merged with Future Faces to create the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards.
The event also fosters networking opportunities, encourages collaboration and the exchange of ideas amongst the brightest minds in the region.

The awards are open to both Future Faces members and non-members. Applications are now open and will automatically close at 11:59pm on Monday 26 May.
