University becomes latest sponsor of Chambers ' awards

A leading university is backing the forthcoming Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Chambers of Commerce awards as a headline sponsor.

Birmingham City University joins Amazon as a headline sponsor for the awards dinner, which takes place at the Drayton Manor Hotel on Friday 3 February.

More than 200 guests will be in attendance on the night to celebrate the success of businesses across the four areas.

Jo Birch, director of Innovation, Enterprise and Employability at Birmingham City University, said: “BCU are proud to be sponsors of this year 's SLTC Awards.

“As the university for Birmingham, working with small and medium sized businesses across the region to connect our skilled gradates and offer business support to drive innovation and growth we recognise the enormous value that Chamber members bring to the vibrancy of our region. ”

Eleven awards will be presented on the night. They are:

  • Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Large Business of the Year (sponsored by GMK House Business and Events Centre)
  • Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Young Professional of the Year
  • Sutton Coldfield President's Award
  • Lichfield & Tamworth President's Award (sponsored by Fruition Accountancy)
