University expands business support offer
Birmingham City University (BCU) has launched its expanded support offer for businesses and organisations in Birmingham and the surrounding regions.
The offer sits in support of the strategic pillar ‘Power Prosperity’ outlined in their new strategy.
In addition to newly featured support, BCU’s Business Services continue to provide prospective clients with access to student and graduate recruitment services, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, STEAMhouse innovation services and venue and facilities hire, with further business support available through event listings and regularly updated blog and news content on the website.
Professor Hanifa Shah OBE (pictured), Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Enterprise, External Engagement and STEAM at Birmingham City University, said: “As part of our commitment to support regional business and grow the local economy, I’m excited to announce that we have expanded our Business Services offer to support businesses and organisations of all sizes across private, public and third sectors.
“We have introduced Contract Research and Consultancy services, enabling clients to benefit from direct collaborations with BCU experts and specialists, as well as adding Short Courses, CPDs and Apprenticeships to support professional learning and skills development in the region.
“We are delighted to be already working with a wide range of strategic business partners such as the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Arup, HS2, NHS, Barclays Bank, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Hockley Mint, Birmingham City Council, the West Midlands Combined Authority and partner universities in the city and we look forward to partnering with and supporting more businesses, organisations and individuals within Birmingham and the surrounding areas with the new opportunities our expanded Business Services offer brings.”
BCU’s business support can be found easily and enquired for quickly using the Attend, Recruit, Collaborate, and Learn service categories found on the refreshed Business Services hub on the BCU website.
This launch is just the first phase of expansion as BCU plans to continue adding to its Business Services offer over the coming months.
